"a personalized environment, service learning, and blended high school and college curriculum, SECHS will equip students to be effective problem solvers and college graduates who will make a positive impact on their local global communities."
THE
PROGRAM
We are here to provide at-risk young men (grades 3 - 8) with mentorship. These mentors address topics such as bullying, self-respect, respect of others, academic readiness and accountability.
During our Saturday sessions, our mentors coordinate instructional lessons and hands-on activities to address noted topics of concern.
Our academic mentors are assigned to student participants on a year-long basis. The purpose of this year-long assignment is to provide the students with a constant life / academic support.
Our mentors share their professional experiences with the students they work with and provide them with guidance related to their futures.
